thankful

well, I had a list of 22 things that I was thankful for.. but I decided that 22 things wasn't enough. I am happy for so many things, and a list wouldn't even begin to cover it.. so I will just say that today, I am extremely happy to have spent it with my amazing little boy, and absolute best friend. I love you both more than words could ever describe.

lately.

all four of my wisdom teeth are finally gone! being awake for the procedure wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.. but I still think life would have been easier if I was asleep. luckily, my face didn't swell though.. I was ready for the jokes about chipmunk cheeks. 

other than that, there hasn't been much going on. we took Logan to the bayou wildlife park, which was pretty cool. we also took him for his check up finally.. so far he's doing great. 20-21 lbs and 28 in. he is still short and underweight, but no worries! 

grandpa has been working a lot, but we still catch him before he goes in. luckily we have the chance to see mikes grandma and uncle this weekend, for a day. hopefully grandpa will be here for that! 

last night we went to our friends, and made some christmas ornaments. I'll get the recipe for the ornaments later, and share it. it was really neat, and the dough that we used felt pretty cool. it was also nice to spend some time with baby ryker! he's getting so big! it was cute to see him and logan play.. logan is going to be a great big brother one day. 

now, we are just ready to enjoy some family time tomorrow, and stuff ourselves with food! hope everyone has a great thanksgiving!

halloween

Hope everyone had a good day/night! I spent my evening with the cutest group of kids, and had a great time. We had a few kitty cats, a very pretty fairy, a ninja turtle, captain america, and my little frankenstein. Oh, and of course baby ryker!

Love spending time with this big old family.. I'm glad they included us again this year!

The night ended with a good game of chase, and some cuddles with ryker. I can say that Logan was extremely excited to run the neighborhood, and if he had is way, he would've ran all night. I'm sad to report that he picked daddy carrying him over me.. yup, its begun. Guess I should get used to it. (I'll never except it!!)

I'm pretty happy with the way Logan's costume came out, considering I spent under $10 dollars for everything. (jacket not included.. that was a separate buy, that happened to fit in with the costume also) I think he looked cute, and I only get to pick what he wears for so long. 

Hard to believe that a year ago today, my baby boy was a little over a week old. and tiny as could be.. It happens to quick. 

fall is setting in..

cooler weather, fall festivals, and the smell of fire wood burning.. I'm so excited! (yes, I realize we are in Texas, and this weather won't last long.. Let me enjoy it while I can, OK?!)

Saturday we went to a local church festival with some good friends, and although we didn't get to do much, we just enjoyed our time together. 

We tried to let Logan play some of the games, but he was a little nervous. I'm not sure if it was because it was a new environment for him, or because there was a man (he is terrified of men) standing next to the games. I'm leaning towards the man.. Poor kid. 

Needless to say, it was a good day for a festival. I'm happy to have such good friends that invite us to do things like this.

since there were some monster posters left un-colored from the birthday party, some friends and I decided to let our boys paint. Probably one of my favorite things we've done so far!

I  have to say, I think we have the cutest little boys ever!

Once again, Logan didn't want to get his hands dirty.. and it has been determined that I have the rebel of the group. His idea of fun is running away from us. Takes after his daddy ;)
