mommy and son date

Even though me and Logan spend a ton of time together at home, I felt like we needed some fun time outside the house. So, we packed up and headed downtown to Herman Park. It was so nice out, and the park was packed with kids running around. I usually keep Logan next to me at all times, but this time I let him run loose. Scary for me, fun for him.

There were a few times that I thought Logan was going to run and jump into the water after the ducks, and he fell and scraped his knees once or twice. The real excitement happened when Logan saw a little boy in a wagon that looked like one we have here at home.. He went into full temper tantrum mode when he wasn't able to ride with him, and chased the wagon across the park. Eventually he laid in the grass and cried, and then finally ended it by coming to me for hugs. Boy, I just can't wait for the terrible twos.. NOT!

Anyways, we had a good time, and I hope I can bring him back there again. Maybe take him for a ride on the train, and bring some sandwiches.. still debating on if I want to bring dada, or keep it a mommy-son thing. We will see.

oh hey there, cousins

we spent Sunday at Mikes brothers, and I'd say the kids had a good time. We did too, of course.

Briahna had a blast playing with Logan, and really enjoyed carrying him around, it was so cute!

We spent a lot of time playing outside on the swing set, and goofing off.

and Logan got to slide for the very first time by himself.. as you can see, he LOVED it!

I hope they come to visit a lot after they move! We really enjoy spending time with them. And by the way, I think we have a pretty good looking group of kids.. and I am absolutely jealous of Briahna's curls!

our big news!

me and mike have been together almost 3 years now, and we FINALLY decided to get married! Took us long enough, I know. As much as we'd love to have anyone and everyone there, we decided to keep it small. Besides the fact that its a lot easier on our wallets (haha) it also makes it more personal. I am so excited, and blessed to be able to plan our wedding! I cannot wait to have our close family and friends together, and celebrate the fact that I love this man so much, and he loves me.

I also CANNOT wait to see my little man running down the aisle, and enjoying this special day with us. Gosh, he's going to be so cute.. Well even more than he already is, if that's even possible?

a little update

I don't have any new pictures to upload right now, although I did.. I misplaced a memory card, and hopefully I can find it tomorrow. I still wanted to go ahead and post though.

Things have been crazy around here, between Logan not feeling well, my best friend being in from Austin, and some other things that I can't say just yet. Get ready though, I have some big news coming up in the next few days!!

I took Logan into the doctor today, because our babysitter told me he had been pulling his ears, and has been very cranky. Luckily I made an appt. because he woke up extremely early in the morning (three a.m.) and stayed up tossing and turning, managing to kick both mommy and dada continuously. His ear infection is back, and he is once again on antibiotics. Poor kid can't catch a break with his ears, and I'm just waiting for the doctor to tell me tubes is the next option. Until then, I just want my little boy to not be in pain. Good thing he is such a trooper! I think he might also have a cold on top of the ear infection, because he's had a small fever on and off, and has just been very clingy.

Besides him being sick though, he has been very lovey-dovey. I don't think I have seen him blow so many kisses ever! He especially like to blow himself kisses in the mirror, or just go all out, and actually kiss the mirror. He's going to be full of himself someday.. I know it. It's ok though, he's cute enough to pull it off! haha!

Next week it's back to school, and I'm hoping my classes aren't to much for me. This whole semester is going to be so hectic.

Keep checking back for our big news, I can't wait to share!
*(no, there is not another baby coming)

a little more of christmas

as late as this post is, I still want to put it up, because I took so many pictures and what good are they if I can't share! (besides the fact that I love looking back on them).

So it rained the majority of the time we were there, and we were under some major storm warnings. That made for an interesting day at granny's house because 1- I am the biggest wimp when it comes to anything storm related and 2- Mikes sister had to drive a good distance in the nasty weather. But the way the sky looked the evening after it rained.. OH MY GOSH! It was gorgeous. I wish I would've been picture ready (I usually don't get out of pajama pants while we are out there), because it would've made for a pretty background.

We spent Christmas evening over at Mikes step-dad's families house -that's a mouthful haha. It took Logan a little while to warm up, but after a few rounds of stealing magnets off of the fridge, and some good turkey, he was pretty happy. We didn't get to talk to people much this year, it was pretty hard trying to keep Logan from messing with things, and there were a lot of breakables that I was worried about.

As you can see, Logan was full of kisses, and made friends with the reindeer.

Logan finally spent some time with his Aunt Kimmy, after she bribed him with some Elmo hahah, and then he continued to be a little goober for mommy. I know I say this all the time, but I really do love being out there.

*just a small note, that none of the pictures have been touched up. I'm using a new laptop that hasn't been graced with photoshop just yet.

grandma magyar

Of course we had to make a visit to great grandma Magyar while we were close! It'd been awhile since Mike had been there, and I really enjoy seeing him, Logan, and Grandma Magyar together. There was a lot of laughing, snacking, and bird watching. We sure do love her, she's so sweet.

locks of love

My hair has been pretty much the same since high school.. never dyed, and usually kept pretty long. I want a change, and everyone keeps telling me not to dye it. So, I did the next, less permanent thing. I cut it! 10 inches all chopped off, and although most people are really attached to their long hair, I really didn't have to hard a time watching it go. It feels so light, and much easier to deal with. I also feel good knowing that since it was 10 inches, I was able to donate it to a good cause- locks of love. www.locksoflove.org

New hair just in time for the new year! (I did this New Years Eve)
