time for goodbye

We made our way east yesterday, to see Mikes brother, Jeremy, and his family. It was kind of sad, because his brother is moving to Malaysia pretty soon, and we won't get to see them often. We also got the chance to give Briahna (his niece) her birthday present, a new camera, so the she take lots of pictures before and after the big move.

Logan kept to himself for the most part, he is such a chicken.. I keep hoping its a stage, but it just will not pass. Right before bed, he warmed up.. well actually, he started acting like a total goober.. but the next morning, he was right back to crying anytime he wasn't right next to me. He did bond with the cat, and Briahna though.. so that's a plus.

Poor Logan had some pretty horrible diapers, and Mandy(Jeremy's wife/my future sister-in-law) brought it to my attention that he might have been teething.. which he was! Two more teeth popped through up top, so now Logan has his "vampire fangs" hahah. Those diapers made the trip to their house pretty interesting though. Let me tell you, the smell he left in my car was disgusting! And changing a diaper on the side of a highway in bumper to bumper traffic really isn't that bad. I wouldn't have my life any less crazy though.

On a side note, we had to change the date of our wedding, to June 2nd. Luckily, it might have worked out for the better, because now there is a chance that Jeremy and his family will able to be there, which is important to us. We also changed our venue, and I am so excited, because it is so gorgeous! I can't wait!!! If your bored and want to check out our venue, look up Ashton Gardens. (even if you aren't bored, you should look it up, its stunning!)

and they call the thing rodeo

the rodeo.. all I can say is that it was hot, and exhausting. Logan wanted to run around, but there were way to many people to allow that (except in the little farmers market), and it really sucked because he was to short for any of the kiddie rides which caught me of guard since he is tall enough for the rides at Kemah Boardwalk.

Don't get me wrong, it was still fun, and we laughed and made the best of it.. I just wish they would've had some kind of shade besides cook-off tents. We almost bought Logan a cowboy hat, but decided against it since the kid barely keeps his hats at home on. Logan had the most fun eating the rodeo food, especially the corn dog. He also enjoyed the farmers market, where he sat in corn kernels and filled buckets.

(this kids idea of eating cheese crackers, is to rub it all over his face^)

Actually, I think the most we laughed, was the walk back to the car. Logan finally got to run free, and we got a break from carrying him.. Sadly, I totally missed going to the actual livestock show, which was one of the main reasons we went. Hopefully next year, Logan is tall enough for rides, and I remember to bring my brain with me. Maybe then, we will see some actual animals!

lazy day

Today, me and Logan spent some time with friends, and just relaxed. Pretty nice to sit around and just be lazy , with no major plans or running around to do. We also got to meet sweet baby Mila, and her mommy Kasi.

(this kid^ posing for the camera)

Hi-light of the day? Logan and David attacking my leg at one point.. Those kids are vicious. Downfall of the day? I've started to notice that my baby is starting to look more and more like a toddler! Makes me so sad.. I want him to keep that chubby little baby face.

On another note, I've noticed that David has some really cool looking eyes.. they have a sunburst type of look to them that I can't get over! Why can't I have eyes like Logan or David?? Both of them are going to be heart-breakers, I'm telling you. - Mila too ;)
